*stops dancing and buggers off back to work cos if she doesn't get a move on there'll be nothing to dance about cos nobody'll get to find out why she was dancing in the first place*

. My Nan lived in The Drive in Ilford for a while, and I lived in Brisbane Road on the edge of Valentine Park. So, you're from a lot further east than me by the sounds of it, nice that you get to go back once in a while. Until then you'll have to come out with us - we had a grand time last night on our first night out, went to the Coach and Horses in Winchester Street, then to The Barn behind the Coach House in Milford Street where they had an Indie night (most bizarre indie night I've ever been to but more about that on another thread!) There were seven of us, two of which I'd never met before, and we all got on well. Valentine Park is that near Newbury Train station ? as we used to have to walk past that to get to my nans ? lol yeah quiet a bit further east lol i lived on canvey island a wee island in the thames REALLY nice lol but wasnt so bad really. Yeah your night out sounds like you all had loads of fun ! must def try and make the next one ;D .....what PA said. I haven't promoted the forum as much as I originally planned since I hadn't been expecting to then take over the ball and spend a ridiculous amount of time designing tickets and creating posh new websites! But once things have calmed down ball wise I'll be pushing this forum a lot more. I'm happy to see how we're growing even on the few bits we are doing, word of mouth etc so it should get even better once we go for promotions proper. As to the ball well that's mainly going to be flyers, posters, other forums, plus Simm kindly agreed to email everyone from the last ball and tell them about us so hopefully that'll bring in plenty. I was also going to look into a radio advert and local paper ads, although those are pricey but there are backdoor ways in, IYKWIM lol. And any help is always welcome especially in promotions! Sublimepoison is our Promotions Director and I'm sure she'll be glad of any willing helpers ;D ~A hopefully now netgoth is up we will get a few peeps floating in from there as my post seems to gave gone up ;D you could as sharp practice if they will put something up about the forum As to the ball im happy to spread the word here and back home in essex as my mate runs a goth night once a month there gets a few peeps from this way brighton and oxford going so dont see why the same people wont come ! also if you need more acts i have quiet a few contacts with regards to fire eaters, fire poi, and burlesque etc so let me know i can only but ask them I have relatives in the Chelmsford/Braintree area ~A Now Chelmsford i know too went to a few gigs etc there when i was at college plus was ok for shopping although southend/camden was always the more visited of locations I'm on the case. Or at least I will be once I've finished the site and got the hosting sorted out. I did a whole page today.... the one that tells everyone all about all the performers we're hiring. Which is rather important, methinks. *does the I know something you don't know dance* do you have a facebook page for the ball or should i say do you intend to have one as i know there was one there before. also i think it would be a good idea to set up an underground salisbury facebook group too that way you are reaching more people again ;D Hi Jenny, Great to see another person finding out about the site. I'm just up the road from you in Durrington soif you do want to go Sunday I'd happily give you a lift. Thats cool it not lack of transportation though, its more the husband and what goes on with his job! i tend to do most things last min cos you never know when the army are gonna mess things up for you lol but i will keep it in mind makes sense going together if we both go ;D

It's not that I don't miss Essex, I left there when I was 3 so I have very few memories about the actual place, more just vague memories about the house and garden. My earliest memory is going to see Father Christmas in a department store in Leytonstone, my only other memories are the coal shed in the garden that I used as a wendy house. I remember nothing else at all, but I was shown the house where I was born a few years ago. I didn't recognise it at all, so it can't have made any impression on me! I still have relatives in Romford though, who I visit from time to time.

I as a child always found it really old why this hairy man wanted to pretend to be santa/the clown and talk to me. i think i thought too much as a kid lol Romfords got an alt club/pun hasnt it never been out for a night there myself but im sure ive been told there is some place there !
