Ive been thinking of ways to help new members feel more at home and generally get to know everyone, so thought a single thread would help. Here is the instructions - All current members post once telling everyone about themselves. Can be about family, pets, hobbies, music you like, how you would descibe your goth style ect. No replies to stuff, just one post each and all new members are welcome to join in and do the same. Hope it helps. (Advise against putting your full name, address, DOB, NI number etc though )

Well about me to get the ball rolling. Im 23, female and run a coffee bar in Salisbury, as well as being a partner in Darklight Industries an events organisation company (were doing the next Masquerade Ball in Salisbury). ;D I live in Salisbury and host tea parties open to all forum members and extra guests of the members in my garden every now and then. I have three rats (Midnight, Eternity, and Amelia), a guinea pig (Guinea), an Tyre track eel and a spotted catfish, who all live in my room. Like making braided wool, ribbon and lace hair falls, but havent had much time to make any recently. I like to go up to Whitby Goth Weekend every April and October, and have been up 8 times so far, starting October 2005 (one was a New year party) and shall be going up this October again I also go on occasional shopping trips to Camden, London for some goth retail therpy - sometimes the internet just isnt enough!

Hi I'm Niamh, I'm 26, I have two darklings that are my world. Currently going through emotional hell, split up with my husband but still currently living under the same roof and watching him go out with her every night. I currently have no social life but am hoping that, once the girls and I find a new home, I can get back out there and start making friends again!
I don't really have a goth style as I'm just trying to come back out of the hippy phase that I've been going through the past few years (so excuse any bright lights coming from my direction, it's just overspill).
I'm a practicing pagan witch but am very open minded and use many different styles in my casting. I love gaining advice and expierience from all those around me (physically and virtually).
I spend my days entertaining my girls and leisurely taking coffee with a friend if the opportunity arises. My evenings are currently empty with me sitting at the laptop trying branch out using the ether.
I'm quite scatty and so I may just pop a couple of posts on here as I'm sure I haven't quite covered everything that I feel is important but I suppose the main bits are here! xXx (Oh and I'm a dress maker/designer, and I also do hair woolling!)

I'm Vermillion, and I live in central Salisbury with my fat ginger cat Ruby. I'm 36 and do a variety of things, including working for the RSPCA and occasionally directing bellydance shows. I've been a bellydancer for 17 years, and also occasionally teach.
I like collecting horror movies, and also collect Indian and Bollywood cinema. I like a bit of low-energy gardening, and especially like growing herbs (no, not those kinds of herbs!). I read a fair bit and belong to a Reading Group that meets once a month to discuss a mutually chosen book. I practice Tai Chi, and I make handmade organic aromatherapy beauty products for my friends. I'm halfway through an Open University degree in world religions, and I am a practicing pagan in the Egyptian / Sumerian tradition.
As a disabled person with complex chronic health conditions, I am passionate about disability rights, and also about involving disabled people in the arts. I am on a committee of disabled artists that puts on events and festivals and mentors up and coming talent. I am interested in alternative health remedies, as I am very much about 'taking things into your own hands' and not waiting for others to come up with the answers for you. I also passionate about the environment and animal welfare. I like a very vast range of music (not just goth) and I love any excuse to dress up!

Hello I'm Tom, I'm 28 and work for the NHS as a Medical Assistant (I stick needles in people all day long). I live in Salisbury and have been with my partner Lisa for 5 years, between us we have one cat called willow a Royal Python called Giger and two Rats called Willy & Wonka. In my spare time I like writing and producing music with my band Hybrid 6.0, in which I play the guitar. My other hobbies include Motorbikes, Shopping, Theme Parks, Gigs and small festivals, Film & Cinema, Ice Skating, Sword combat, Clubbing, Gothic & Punk culture, Photography, Art, Bonsai Trees and Alternative Fashion. I would say I'm a bit Punk-Goth with a sprinkle of Cyber into the mix, so basically a proper messed up crossbreed.
xx
