Well, as everyone else has formally introduced themselves, I thought I should too.
I'm Vermillion, I live in central Salisbury with my fat ginger cat, I'm 36 and do a variety of things, including working for the RSPCA and occasionally directing bellydance shows. I've been a bellydancer for 17 years, and also occasionally teach. I like collecting horror movies, and am interested in gardening, reading, aromatherapy, world religions, alternative health, enviromental stuff, animal welfare, Bollywood and Indian cinema, music and dressing up. Oo-er, this is starting to sound like a lonely hearts ad, so I'll stop!
I know JDowngraded and Twisted Kitty on this forum, and as of today, I've met Purple Absinthe and Niamh. Turned out I kind of knew them anyway, but just didn't know their names. I'm looking forward to meeting a few more of you in due course.

LMAO! I may be mistaken but doesnt belly dancing require at least a millimeter of fat on your bones Damn you Acquiescence, no muffin tops above and under your corset! PS- you are welcome to come lay claim to some of the fat I seem to be growing. Just not from the boobs!

Bellydancing is for people of ALL shapes and sizes, you don't need to be fat or thin to do it. I'd be glad to teach both of you, and am planning to teach in Salisbury soon, (within walking distance of Purple Absinthe's home) health permitting. Have you guys heard of the phenomenon of Gothic Bellydancing, or Raqs Gothique? It started simultanously in lots of countires worldwide, but I was the co-founder of the Daughters of Lilith, the UK's first ever Gothic Bellydance Troupe. GBD is now a huge worldwide movement. I am soooo up for getting my flabby belly out with you Vermillion! I reckon we could goth it up a bit more than some of those in the clips linked on the GBD site though! >>>>Off to Ebay to look up belly dancing skirts (if you think I've got the space or time to be making one myself right now you are sadly mistaken, sewing machines packed away and I'm far too lazy to get it out again! ;D)>>>>>> xXx

I did drag quite a lot back in my late teens (ask vermillion303) but I don’t think I could pull it off so well now (to much stubble), but what the hell I’ll give it a go!

I'll teach ALL of you. And JD, I must teach you something other than that hand movement I taught you years ago (no, ladies, it's not rude!) Yes, I have photographic evidence of JD's dress wearing days, and it suits him! JD, if you don't wanna drag up, I think you should dress up as the hot Bedouin bloke from the Mummy (the one with the facial tattoos)!
Naimh, I would be delighted to teach you, and I have kit you can borrow until you have the time, money or inclination to make or buy your own!
Will try and find a link for some Gothic Bellydancing clips.
