Where's that? I forget. And did they shut the pheasant? And can you tell I don't get out much?? lol ((Hijaker on the prowl)). Anchor and Hope is quite nice and has a lovely garden for outside-y ness if the goth's are feeling brave this summer! Oh I'm now pining for the goold Ol' Phez Oh how I miss the drab dark decor with it's easy access and barely any stairs to manouevre when drunk, but hose tiny corners to hide in are killer when you're cornered by drunk ugly guys! ;D xXx

The Anchor and Hope is on Winchester street (can you tell I used to crawl between the Phez and the Gate?!). The Phez hasn't been closed down but is now a "Gastro Bistro" yuppie filled bar with bar snax and crudite's YaYaYa Luvvie! xXx

The Anchor and Hope also does Real Ale and has a canopied beer garden for those who still enjoy a crafty fag.

I went to the Winchester Gate on Friday afternoon and they said that their quietest night would be Thursday, when we could have the whole side room to ourselves (with real fire in winter and our own bar). I have found a lamp post outside to chain Davros too, so it could be a go-er. Also has a nice beer garden, but there are a lot of steps all over the pub, not great for drunk people or disabled people, or even drunk disabled people (why are you all looking at me? I'm as sober as a JUDGE!)
Trouble is, if A can only do weekends, it gets VERY busy those nights as there are bands on, and there is nowhere to sit, and I am so decrepit I HAVE to sit down!
Maybe we will have to have a weekday AND a weekend meet-up!
