To celebrate the birthdays of horror film legends Christopher Lee, Peter Cushing and Vincent Price the following week, there will be a candle-lit Film Night on Friday 22nd May in Salisbury. It will feature two movies from the huge filmographies of these much loved actors. One will probably be a Hammer Horror, and the other is likely to be an adaptation of an Edgar Allen Poe story.
There will be wine, nibbles, dripping candlabras, spooky music and a ghoulish atmosphere.
All guests have to do is dress up, bring a bottle and perhaps a contribution to the buffet, and a dark sense of humour.
There will be an entirely voluntary and discrete collection for the RSPCA, and gothic cards will be on sale to raise funds for them.
For details of the venue, please PM Purple Absinthe.

I don't think I can make this either, for the same reason I can't make Hybrid 6.0. Curses!! I'll have a think and see what can be done but for now, put me down as a no show just in case. *sigh*

OK babe, they'll be plenty more events like this so hang in there and we'll get you along to something soon! I can always send you a consignment of horror DVDs to watch at home with Mr A!

Unfortunately the total number was V and her friend Laura (who came to our last tea party. So she said f@*k it and went into town and down to the pub. I was exhausted after work but did make it in the end to join in in town, resulted in sampling a few of the Salisbury Live venues and the chips on the way home Poor V was having a bad day thanks to the chair being a bugger but hopefully she still enjoyed her self even though it, as she put, 'went the way of the pear'
Awareness is the end of sanity, for when you hear the screaming, it never stops
Oh I did in the end, having hysterics at that old man wiggling his bum to the sixties cover band in the Pheasant, and chips from the Yorkshire Fisheries in Fisherton Street (where they have prints of 100 year old photos of Whitby by Frank Sutcliffe, and a chip shop owner who loves to talk about them) made it all worthwhile.
Look out for another film night another time.
