I admit it and proclaim to the skies without shame; I'm a big opera fan. Love it, looooove eeeeet. My hope last year was to see Don Giovanni with His Awesomeness, Placido Domingo but I missed it (I weep, truly). This fall I'm bound and determined to catch the opera.
But of course I want to do it PROPERLY; full evening dress and opera glasses, the lot. I tend to do things flat-out or I just can't be bovvered, and I've a ballgown sitting in my closet which could do with a bit of a twirl.
When I know what the 2009-10 season holds I'll update a bit more on this as it goes on.

OMG that would be so cool. Definitely keep us posted on this one. Besides, doing things flat out or not at all... sounds like me all over again, hehe ;D ~A I admit it and proclaim to the skies without shame; I'm a big opera fan. Love it, looooove eeeeet. Ooooooo, opera comes to us! Candlelight Opera performs in the stately homes of the UK, and this September they are performing Puccini in Wilton House's Cube Room. This sounds like a lot of fun and I think I'll have to break out my ball gown for this! Tickets are reasonably priced and I've always wanted to see Wilton House as I've never been inside. Dinner afterwards at Pembroke could be arranged I'm sure.

Make sure it's in the calendar so we don't forget to organise something closer to September
