On Saturday 22nd November I will be hosting a Boris Karloff film night in honour of his birthday. It will be at my home (please PM me for my location if you've not been there before). It will be from 7pm onwards. People can stay after 11pm but we must keep the noise down.
Boris Karloff is a legend in the world of Horror movies. He's probably most famous as Frankenstein, Universal Horror's most celebrated creature next to Bela Lugosi's Dracula. But he's also played ghouls, murderers, mummies, reanimated hanged men, scary butlers, a mad embalmer, a zombie, a graverobber and a diabolical doctor, amongst others!
It will be your choice what Boris Karloff movies we watch but we can choose from my collection:
The Ghoul * Frankenstein * Bride of Frankenstein * The Scorcerers * The Terror * The Mummy * Corridors of Blood * Isle of the Dead * Grip of the Strangler * The Old Dark House * The Black Cat * The Walking Dead * The Bodysnatcher * The Lost Patrol * Son of Frankenstein * Bedlam *
Many of these are acknowledged classics of the horror genre, while others are forgotten gems.
You may come in costume if you wish but it's not compulsory. Bring something to eat and drink, and be prepared to feast by candlelight. RSVP as soon as poss so I know numbers.
Beware the beat of the cloth-wrapped feet!

People can stay after 11pm but we must keep the noise down I think we ought to send the heavies around to your neighbours and teach them what happens to people that complain too much. *grumbles*

Lol, yeah send round the heavies but with foghorns, deafen the lot of them, that way unless we are so loud that they can feel it they wont ever complain again ;D

I don't mind keeping it down after 11pm (that is the law, and we do have very bad soundproofing in our flats) but I wish she'd repay the courtesy and NOT sing songs from the musicals at 4am!
By the way, is anybody coming to my film night? So far, I've got Tom and two other people coming. Anybody else?

Fair enough. If you're feeling drained, may I suggest hanging garlic by your windows at night.
Hope you feel better soon, hun.
